Of the 16 FC Barcelona players who are on international duty, 14 of them are ready for a second round of matches.
Leo Messi and André Gomes, due to physical problems, have left their respective national teams, Argentina and Portugal.
First up is Marc-André ter Stegen, whose Germany side take on Norway at 8.45pm on Sunday night in the country’s first World Cup qualifier.
Spain begin their road to Russia against Liechtenstein, where Barça stars Gerard Piqué, Sergio, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Paco Alcácer are all in the squad, while Ivan Rakitic’s Croatia face Turkey. Also on Monday, Spain’s U21’s team, which contains Denis Suárez, will face Sweden in the 2017 European U21 Championship qualifiers.
On Tuesday, Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne are available for selection with France, who face Belarus away at 8.45pm CET, while Jasper Cillessen’s Netherlands take on Sweden at the same time.
In the early hours of 7 September, Barça’s South Americans will be competing in a number of important World Cup qualifiers. Luis Suárez’s Uruguay take on Paraguay at 1.00am CET, Mascherano’s Argentina face Venezuela at the same time, while Neymar Jr and Brazil play Colombia in a mouth-watering tie at 2.45am CET.
Once the matches have concluded, all of the international players will return to the Barça squad as Luis Enrique looks to prepare for Saturday’s league match against Alavés at the Camp Nou (8.30pm CET).
