FC Barcelona Lassa handball made it consecutive victory number 101 in the league on Wednesday, with a 26-25 win over second-placed Abanca Ademar.
It was a very balanced game from the beginning right until the end, between the top two sides in the division.
Xavi Pascual’s side could not get three goals ahead throughout the game while the visitors only went in front on one occasion when they made it 10-11 on minute 23. Barça, however, managed to get back into their rhythm and went into the break 14-12 ahead.
Barça keeper Gonzalo made some vital stops to keep the team ahead early in the second half, before Lasse Andersson made it 18-15 on the counter-attack. The score was reduced to just one goal on 49 minutes through Ademar’s Juanín García before the visitors made it 25-25 with just a minute left.
But in the final minute of added time, from a stop at one end by Gonzalo to a goal from Lasse Andersson at the other gave Barça win 101 on the spin.
