The president of FC Barcelona, accompanied by first vice-president Jordi Cardoner and director Pau Vilanova, welcomed the representatives of the integrated supporters clubs

FC Barcelona president ​​Josep Maria Bartomeu, accompanied by first vice-president Jordi Cardoner and the director responsible for supporters clubs Pau Vilanova, held a meeting on 13th of January with a broad representation of the Agrupació de Futbol de Clubs i penyes del FC Barcelona at the President Suñol Box at the Camp Nou.

The Agrupació is made up of eighteen supporters clubs, with a total of 265 teams from different categories which bring together 3,542 players of different ages.

Former Barça player Paco Clos was also at the event, as well as representatives from all supporters clubs which form part of the Agrupació: Penya Anguera, Unió Barcelonista Catalònia, Cinc Copes, Collblanc, l'Hospitalet, Ramon Llorens, Club Blaugrana Terlenka, Sant Cugat, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Just-Trajana, Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Trinitat Vella, Vallirana, Villaverde-Penitents, Barceloneta, La Roca, Cervelló and Castellbisbal.

The reception served to acknowledge the important development work that has been carried out by the Agrupació in its 60 year history, and allows many young people from different towns and neighbourhoods to play football, spread the spirit of Barça across the region and promote the values of the club.

The FC Barcelona Penyes Trophy, ​​a Futbol-7 tournament, the Penyes select team or the formative training days with the players, coaches and parents are just some of the activities that the Association participates in.

This meeting was within the framework of the annual receptions that the president of FC Barcelona holds with the various groups of the club around Christmas and the beginning of the new year.

On this occasion, the new Board of the Agrupació, elected last year and chaired by Lluís Monràs, president of the Penya Anguera, the meeting also served to introduce himself in front of the main directors of the Club.

During his speech, Josep Maria Bartomeu congratulated the new board and expressed his desire "to maintain the same relationship between Barça and the Association of Supporters Clubs that has existed until now”.

The Barça president thanked the efforts of the Agrupació and said: "The club will remain in close contact with you in order to help you in this effort to promote football and manage 3,500 players linked to the supporters club movement”.

On his part, Pau Vilanova thanked the support of the Agrupació and stated: “The Agrupació provides us with added bonus of being able to mould players, but also to educate them as people, following the values and the spirit of what it means to be more than a club”.
