FC Barcelona Womens team train for the first time this year

The Catalans went back to work with their focus on their next fixture against Levante on Sunday at the Miniestadi

Barça Women returned to training on Monday evening at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The team say goodbye to 2016 with a session on the 21 December and their Christmas break came to an end on 2 January. The coaching team had a full squad available to them ahead of the crucial game on Sunday against Levante at the Miniestadi.

The workouts will continue in the mornings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as Saturday afternoon.

Xavi Llorens' statements:

“We are happy to be back training and competing. We want to do better than in 2016, especially winning a title and doing well in Europe. We are ready for everything and I am excited about 2017. We will do well.”

“Levante will be a difficult rival who are level on points with us. Coming back from the break will be hard with the game against Levante, Granadilla and the trip to Badajoz. If we play as we know how to we can compete until the end of the season.”
