Juventus are unbeaten so far in the competition this season. They topped Group H ahead of second placed Sevilla thanks to four wins and two draws in their six matches.

In their last 16 tie against Porto, la Vecchia Signora won both legs, 2-0 away in Portugal and 1-0 in the return leg in Turin.

With 6 games to go in Serie A, Juventus could not be better placed to claim their sixth league title in a row. The Italian league champions since 2012 have 80 points with Roma back on 72 and third placed Napoli further back on 70 points. 

Former Real Madrid and Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuaín has provided 23 keague goals in attack whilst the club’s much vaunted defence has seen Allegri’s team concede just 20 goals in the league.

Previous meetings

The teams have met eight times in European competition with Barça winning three, drawing two and losing three against the club from Turin. The most recent meeting prior to the first leg is surely the most memorable: the blaugranes won the competition in 2015, beating Juventus 3-1 in the final in the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
