Home results in Europe provide reason to believe

All of the wins racked up by Luis Enrique’s men in the Champions League at home so far this season would be enough to see them through against Juventus

FC Barcelona face a less than easy task when Juventus visit the Camp Nou on Wednesday night, with Luis Enrique’s men needing to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first encounter.

That said, Barça’s numbers on home soil give plenty of reasons for optimism, with 21 goals scored in Europe and just one conceded.

That stacks up to an average of 5.25 goals per game and 0.25 let in at the other end, and if Barça maintain those numbers then it will result in another memorable night for the Catalans.

This season in the Champions League, in front of their own supporters, Barça have beaten Celtic 7-0, Manchester City 4-0 and Borussia Monchengladbach by the same score. Any of those would do nicely. Then, of course, there was that infamous 6-1 miracle over PSG.

So, while the score leaves Barça in an unfavourable spot before kick-off, the previous home encounters in Europe’s top competition can only instill confidence.
