Luis Enrique's goal against Las Palmas

A look back at the goal scored by the current Barça boss against the Canary Island club over 12 years ago

FC Barcelona prepare to face Las Palmas on Sunday, and there is one person in particular with fond memories against the Canary Island club.

Over 12 years ago, Luis Enrique Martínez scored against Las Palmas in a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou.

On the 20-minute mark, some nice combination play between Saviola and Kluivert, with the Dutchman playing a neat lobbed ball into the Spaniard's path, ended with a tidy finish from the current manager.

In the second half, Orlando Suárez scored the equaliser in a result that did little favour to the sides' respective aims, with Barça far from the title in fourth place and the visitors needing a win to boost their survival hopes. Nevertheless, it remained the last Barça goal against Las Palmas for many years due to the latter's drop to the second division.
