FC Barcelona Lassa fell short in their first encounter against Murcia, losing 3-2 to ElPozo leaving them with the need to win their next game at the Palau Blaugrana to stay alive in the play-offs.
The hosts got off to a flyer when Pito scored inside four minutes, but the Barça response was almost instant as Adolfito made it 1-1 moments later.
Barça stopper Juanjo made a string of saves to keep the score level but was helpless to stop Miguelín's penalty for 2-1 on the stroke of half-time.
Álex, with a goal for Murcia at the start of the second half, made life even more complicated. Lozano hit a cracker to reduce the deficit to 3-2 just a minute later.
The defeat means Barça absolutely must win their next game on Wednesday 31 May at 9.30pm at the Palau Blaugrana.
