Loan agreement with Nice for Marlon Santos

It is for the next two seasons, although FC Barcelona can take the player back at the end of the first

FC Barcelona and OGC Nice have reached an agreement for the loan transfer of Marlon Santos, 21, for the next two seasons. An option for the Club to take the player back after the first season is also in place.

A loan to keep growing

Coming from Fluminense, Marlon was loaned to Barça B in the summer of 2016, but only a few months later the Club exercised its right of purchase. During the 2016/17 season, the Brazilian was a key player in the promotion of the Blaugrana’s youth side.

On November 23, 2016, he debuted with the first team against Celtic in the fifth match of the Champions League Group Stage, and also played 90 minutes of the last two league games against Las Palmas and Eibar.

His good performances meant that, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, the Club announced his signing for three more seasons. With the transfer to Nice, Marlon will now have the opportunity to continue growing and return to Barça after having gained experience.
