After signing a contract extension with FC Barcelona to cover the next three seasons (with an option for two more should he become part of the first team), Carles Aleñá appeared on Barça TV’s ‘Hora B’ programme.
The home grown midfielder is a one club man and his dream is to make it to the first team and to do that he will ‘give everything for the shirt.’ The boyhood Barça fan is ready to fight to achieve his objectives as he admitted he is a fan of ‘tough challenges’.
The Mataró born midfielder took part in Barça’s tour of the USA, a ‘unique experience’ according to Aleñá, playing alongside his childhood heroes Andrés Iniesta and Leo Messi.
Signing his new deal has not dimmed his ability to be realistic about his goals with Aleñá admitting that his team at the moment is still Barça B. “We have adapted well to the division against three tough teams and this will help us become better players” he said, commentating on the B team’s start to the new season in the Second Division A after promotion last year.
