Ousmane Dembélé back in Barcelona

The French striker returns to the city after undergoing surgery on his femoral biceps tendon in Helsinki

Osumane Dembélé, following a successful operation in Helsinki on his torn femoral biceps tendon, is back in Barcelona to start the next stage of his recovery.

When he was shown a video of the gesture by his team-mates, wearing a shirt bearing the message “Courage Ousmane” before the game with Eibar, said that he had not seen it before and that he was touched by what his colleagues had done.

Barça, of course, went on to win that game 6-1 with goals from Paulinho, Denis Suárez and a mighty four from Leo Messi.

Dembélé was injured at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez during the 2-1 win at Getafe and was replaced after 28 minutes by Gerard Deulofeu.

After surgery performed by Dr Sakari Orava under supervision of Dr Ricard Pruna, the expected recovery period is about three and a half months.
