Aleñá: 'It's one of the happiest days of my life'

On Wednesday 6 September Barcelona midfielder Carles Aleñá signed a new contract extending his stay at the club for three more seasons, with the option of a further two. Aleñá said “I’m happy for myself and my family,” and “it’s one of the happiest days of my life.”

“Renewing the deal with the club of my dreams, where I’ve been all my life, makes this a very exciting day for me,” he continued. “I want to give everything to repay the confidence that the club has shown in me.”

“It’s really quite something that I’ve been here for 13 years, coming up through the ranks at such a demanding club,” Aleñá added. “But this is just the beginning, my dream is to become a regular and help the team win titles, so now I have to work hard and give my all for the best club in the world.”
