FC Barcelona 3-0 Sporting Huelva: Set pieces win it at the Mini
Two Patri goals from corners put the Catalans in command and Andonova settles things with a quarter of an hour to spare
The FC Barcelona women overcame a combative Sporting Huelva 3-0 on Saturday to ensure another week at the top of the league table. Patri Guijarro scored twice and Natasa Andonova got the other in a game that was never easy and where set pieces tipped the balance in the end.
Barça face mid-table Madrid CFF next in the league, but before that they have a trip to Lithuania to take on Gintra Universitetas in the Champions League
The first goal came after 32 minutes, just after the visitors had had their first attempt on the Barça goal, when Patri pounced on a rebounded corner.
The second goal, just after the break, was scored by the same player and also from a corner kick, and Patri was also involved in the Andonova goal that sentenced the tie to ensure that Fran Sánchez’s side remains unbteaten this season.
