FC Barcelona won their game against Llevant (4-0) at the Palau Blaugrana thanks to a hat-trick from Rivillos and a goal from Aicardo. The victory saw Andreu Plaza’s side move into top spot in the table, level on points with Movistar Inter who lost against Zaragoza.
Once again, thanks to a solid defence, Barça were able to go on the offensive from the first whistle. When their opponents did manage to get into the area, which wasn’t often, they were met by a very safe pair of hands in Paco Sedano. Aicardo (min 13, 1-0), was able to break the resistance of Llevant keeper Nacho Serra, after he had previously denied Ferrao, Adolfo, Rivillos and Rafa López.
Although Pizarro put Sedano in trouble in the first minute of the second half, Aicardo's assist after a foul on Ferrao saw Rivillos get a shot away to extend the lead (min 21, 2-0). Four minutes later, thanks to a long pass from Tolrà, Rivillos himself was able to make it three.
Finally, after a series of attempts by Andreu Plaza's team, Rivillos rounded off the scoring just 29 seconds from the end, completing a second consecutive hat-trick.
