Rayo Vallecano - Barça B: Points lost in the second half (1-0)

The blaugrana couldn't win at one of the most difficult grounds in the Second Division A and suffer their second consecutive defeat in the League

At one of the toughest stadiums in the division, Barça B couldn’t find a way through against Rayo Vallecano, eventually succumbing to their second consecutive defeat after a goal from Trejo (min 74). The result has left the Blaugrana with a record of three wins, five defeats and seven draws from their 15 games so far.

Couldn’t impose themselves

Gerard Lopez’s team tried to dominate the game with possession of the ball, but were ineffective at the crucial moments. Arnaiz and Aleñá made life uncomfortable for the Rayo defence, though the first half finished without any real chances for either side.

The hosts were much more offensive after the break, playing with a good tempo and high intensity. Barça’s clearest opportunity came on the counterattack but Arnaiz wasn’t able to take advantage.

Both goalkeepers became more prominent and eventually the pendulum swung Rayo’s way as Trejo scored the only goal of the game (min 74). Fali and Arnaiz managed to test Alberto again late on but the custodian saw off each challenge, meaning the visitors left Madrid empty-handed. Barça’s next opponents are Almería at the Miniestadi.
