Despite an intense battle in Saturday's Champions League game, Barça are always playing catch-up and fail to close the gap
Barça Lassa have lost to Nantes in the EHF Champions League and a direct berth into the quarter finals is now looking like a remote prospect, although they are already assured of a place in the knockout stages.
The French side led the way for most of the game, and although the Catalans made a strong surge towards the end they were denied by a series of turnovers and some fine goalkeeping from Dumoulin.
The result leaves the blaugrana fourth in Group A, with the same eight points as RheinNeckar Löwen.
