Messi reunited with Roberto, one of his favourite victims

The current Málaga goalkeeper has let in a total of 11 goals from Barça’s No.10, who will be looking to increase this figure on Saturday at La Rosaleda

Lionel Messi will come face to face with Roberto Jiménez again at La Rosaleda on Saturday. A goalkeeper with a lot of experience, having played for teams such as Atlético Madrid, Zaragoza, Recreativo, Benfica and Espanyol, Barça’s No. 10 certainly has the measure of him with 11 goals scored when the two have coincided on the pitch.

Messi has scored a hat-trick and three braces against the custodian, and the most remembered goal was when Roberto played for Zaragoza. It was during a 2-4 victory for the Blaugrana at La Romareda in the 2009/10 season, Messi slaloming from almost the centre circle, leaving three defenders in his wake. The No.10 has managed to score eight goals past Roberto with his left leg, two with his right leg and one header. Of these, six have been at the Camp Nou and five away from home.

As Messi and Roberto prepare to meet again, we remember all of those strikes in the video.
