Five interesting facts about Barça v Getafe
It's a return to LaLiga for FC Barcelona. After an extended internacional break, Hansi Flick and the team welcome Getafe to the Spotify Camp Nou for the matchday eight fixture of the domestic competition (October 10, kick-off 6.30pm CEST). We've cast our net to find some of the most interesting stats ahead of the game.
Undefeated at home
The blaugranes have never lost a match at home against Getafe. The side from Madrid have visited 21 times, with 17 ending in home victories and four as draws. What's more Barça have won the last eight and have kept a clean sheet in the last four.
Best ever league start a real possibility
A victory this weekend at the Spotify Camp Nou would make it eight wins from eight for Hansi Flick's side. This maximum return would equal the best ever start to LaLiga, which came in the 2013/14 season when Gerardo Martino was coach.
Raphinha one appearance behind Neymar Jr.
Raphael Dias Belloli ‘Raphinha’ could become number five on the appearance list for Brazilian players in FC Barcelona history should he play. It would draw him level with Neymar Jr. on 186 games in blaugrana. The forward is the leading goalscorer in the 2026/27 season and his 12 LaLiga goals make him the Pichichi (top scorer) in the competition.
Kounde can surpass Abidal
The game could also see Jules Kounde make history, as an appearance would see him become the all-time appearance maker among FC Barcelona's French players. The blaugrana number 23 is currently tied on 193 appearances with Eric Abidal.
Gerard Martín can make it a hundred
Another milestone is also in the offing, as Gerard Martín may make his 100th appearance in a Barça jersey. The Catalan defender made his first team debut in 2024 away at the Mestalla stadium, when the blaugranes won 1-2. Two and a half seasons later, the number 18 has established himself as an important player in Flick's plans and could bring up his century this weekend.
