U21s - Belgium 1-0 Wales
Jesse Bisiwu made his first start for the Belgium U21 team as the win took the team a step closer to the U21 European Championships next year. Monday 28 September

Belgium 0-1 France
After playing the full 90 minutes in France’s win over Turkey, Jules Kounde did not feature in Les Bleus’ narrow victory over Belgium. The game at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels was decided by a superb Michael Olise goal in the 88th minute. Kounde’s France therefore have a perfect six points from six and top UEFA Nations League Group A1 after the opening two games.

Meanwhile, after playing two games for Germany, Karim Adeyemi’s international break is over. Jürgen Klopp named two separate squads, one for the first two games and another for the final two. The Barça player will now enjoy a few days’ rest, like his non-international teammates.

Sunday 27 September

Norway 1-2 Portugal
João Cancelo played the full 90 minutes as Portugal claimed a hugely important win against Norway. The Barça full-back played the entire game at Oslo’s Ullevaal Stadion. The three points leave Jorge Jesus’ side top of Nations League Group A4 after two games.

Germany 0-1 Greece
Karim Adeyemi started for Germany against Greece, playing 75 minutes before being replaced by Gnabry in his second start under Jürgen Klopp. Germany therefore have just one point from their opening two Nations League games and sit third in Group A2, behind Greece (six points) and Xavi Hernández’s Netherlands (four).

Saturday 26 September

England 2-3 Spain
A thriller in the UEFA Nations League at Wembley with Barça players taking centre stage. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring for Spain after just two minutes only for his blaugrana team mate Anthony Gordon to equalise for England. Striker Harry Kane then put the home side and missed a penalty before Luis de la Fuente's World Cup winning side came back from behind to take the win. Aside form Lamine and Anthony Gordon, other blaugranes in the starting line ups were Cubarsí, Dani Olmo and Rodri. Midfielder Pedri came on in the second half with Fermín an unused substitute and Eric Garcia left out of the XI after a slight problem in the warm up.

A last gasp draw for a Brazil side featuring a lot of new faces. Raphinha started, played the full 90 minutes, and took the corner that led to Rayan's equalising goal in the first of two friendlies against Australia (the second is in Brisbane on Monday).

Thursday 24 September

Netherlands 1-1 Germany
Karim Adeyemi returned to action for Germany almost a year after his last appearance. The winger started the first game of the Klopp era with the Mannschaft and played a key role, providing the assist for Nmecha's goal to put Germany ahead against the Oranje. Adeyemi was substituted in the 80th minute and watched from the bench as Gakpo equalised in added time. A point apiece for Klopp's Germany and Xavi Hernández's Netherlands on his debut as coach, as both sides opened their Nations League Group 2 campaigns.

Belgium U21 1-0 Belarus U21
An important win for Belgium in their bid to reach next year's European Under-21 Championship, with Jesse Bisiwu coming on in the 85th minute. The 18-year-old Barça winger was making his debut for the Belgium U21 side.

Anthony Gordon sat down with the media ahead of the Nations League fixture against Spain on 26 September, and when asked about Lamine Yamal and his Ballon d'Or prospects, he commented "He's on a whole other level right now. For a 19-year-old to be doing what he's doing is crazy". When asked if he is the best winger in the world at the moment, he said "I think so, when you're talking as a pure player, ability, for me he is number one for sure". High praise for the blaugrana number 10 from his teammate.
