Board of Directors scores a solid 7.3 from members in the Blaugrana Observatory
The results of the 2025/26 Blaugrana Observatory (Observatori Blaugrana), the opinion survey conducted by FC Barcelona to assess the overall situation at the club, show that, for the first time, members have given the Board of Directors an average rating in the ‘very good’ category (7.3). Almost 75% of members rate the Board’s management as very good or excellent: 48% give it a very good rating and 26% an excellent one.
The renewal of Hansi Flick’s contract is the highest-rated decision of the past season (9.5). Indeed, the sporting situation scores 8.25, while the social (7.29) and institutional (7.18) areas are also rated positively, improving on last year’s Observatory scores of 6.8 and 6.5 respectively.
While the club’s sporting, institutional and social situations all receive very good ratings, its economic situation earns a solid pass (5.76). However, 80% of members give it at least a passing grade, 20 percentage points higher than in the 2025 Observatory. Meanwhile, 60% believe the situation has improved over the past year, while 56% are positive about the outlook for the future.
The study was conducted by the Institut Feedback d’Investigació Aplicada through a survey of 3,000 members, both season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders, aged over 18 and resident in Spain. The survey was carried out between 11 and 25 June 2026.
Recognition of sporting success
Of the club’s six professional teams, the women’s first team receives the highest rating (9.79), followed by the handball team (9.2), scores closely linked to their European successes. The men’s football first team receives a very good rating (8.42), as do the futsal (8.14) and roller hockey (7.13) teams. The basketball team receives a passing grade (5.37), meaning that all of the club’s professional teams achieved a pass in 2025/26, unlike the previous season.
Masia and model, pillars of identity
La Masia (71.9%) is the element most frequently cited as representing the concept of ‘Més que un Club’. Close behind are the model of 100% member ownership (66.1%) and Barça’s identification with Catalonia (57.1%). A total of 81% of members are satisfied with Barça’s use of Catalan and positively rate the club’s commitment to Catalan culture.
Meanwhile, the main reasons for becoming a member are primarily emotional, including love for the club, pride in being a Barça fan and family tradition. As for the management of the return to Spotify Camp Nou, members’ perception is very positive, with an overall rating of 7.34.
Social commitment
The survey reveals that almost 90% of members are aware of the work carried out by the FC Barcelona Foundation. Hospital visits and the Blaugrana Wristbands project are the best-known initiatives, followed by support for refugees and anti-bullying programmes.
FC Barcelona members also rate the club’s commitment to gender equality positively, with a score of 7.76, as well as its sustainability policies. In this area, measures adopted to help combat climate change receive a score of 7.82, while policies aimed at promoting sustainable development score 7.61.
Finally, 43% of respondents consider public transport the most suitable way to travel to the stadium. This is the preferred option, ahead of private vehicles, walking, motorcycles and coaches.
