Raphinha and Fermín amongst the goals
Raphinha and Fermín provided the firepower for Barça's 5-0 win over Elche in the Martínez Valero stadium on Sunday in La Liga. The two blaugranes bagged a brace each with Raphinha opening the scoring and Fermín finishing things off in style in the second half.
Raphinha's sixth sense
The Brazilian was active early on in the game, winning a penalty after he was brought down by Elche defender Víctor Chust on 14 minutes. The Barça captain picked himself up to stroke home the spot kick himself. In the second half he added his second with a typically calm and collected finish to make it 3-0.
Fermín unstoppable
In the second half Fermín scored twice in just eight minutes. The first came when Anthony Gordon unselfishly squared the ball to the midfielder who finished into an empty net.
Fermín's second came after an impressive turn after collecting Xavi Espart's pass as he rolled away from Redondo and swept the ball into the far corner past keeper Dituro.
Barça have started the defence of their league title with an impressive attacking display as they bid to take a third La Liga trophy in a row.
