The Estadí Johan Cruyff is set to come alive once again as today is the 6th women's Festa del Gamper Estrella Damm. The traditional curtain raiser to the upcoming season sees FC Barcelona Femení host English team Brighton & Hove Albion Women.

The gates at the Estadí Johan Cruyff will open at 6.30pm CEST. The Barça Femení squad for the 2026/27 season will be presented from 7.00pm CEST and then the match itself kicks off at 8.00pm CEST. Both events can be watched live on Barça Play and the Club's YouTube channel, except for in the United Kingdom.

Van Asten medical update

First team player Renee Van Asten has a right thigh strain and will miss the match today.

Pere Romeu has named the following squad for the 6th women's Festa del Gamper Estrella Damm: Gemma Font, Irene Paredes, Sydney Schertenleib, Kerolin Nicoli, Marta Torrejón, Claudia Pina, Caroline Graham, Patri Guijarro, Cata Coll, Ewa Pajor, Vicky López, Carla Julià, Esmee Brugts, Aïcha Cámara, Martina Fernández, Tyler McCamey, Julia Torres, Rosalía, Carolina, Ohlander, Mayssa and Elena.

New faces at Barça Femení

New additions always generate a lot of excitement of course, and this Gamper is no exception. It will be the first time for McCamey, Kerolin and Van Asten (who misses the match). It will be a third Gamper for Martina Fernández after she played in the 23/24 and 24/25 editions. The Catalan is back at the Club for her second spell after a season and a half at English club Everton. 

The official presentation will also see the coach and captain say a few words as is tradition. This will be the third Gamper at the helm for Pere Romeu, while Patri Guijarro will take to the mic for the first time as first captain.

Party atmosphere at Estadí Johan Cruyff

In addition to the official squad presentation and the subsequent Gamper match, fans present at the Estadí Johan Cruyff will be able to enjoy a performance by Mallorca singer Maria Jaume at halftime.

All set for a special evening for FC Barcelona fans to enjoy football, presentations and more to welcome in the new season.
