Adeyemi and Bisiwu score first goals for FC Barcelona
A day of firsts in Basel. As well as Anthony Gordon making his debut, two new faces in Flick's Barça squad celebrated their first goals for the club. Karim Adeyemi opened the scoring in the first half, while Jesse Bisiwu struck twice in the blink of an eye to round off the game in the best possible fashion.
Goal and assist for Adeyemi
The German produced his best performance of the preseason so far. Towards the end of the first half, he made the most of a great move by Raphinha, finishing it off with a powerful shot that gave the goalkeeper no chance. The former Borussia Dortmund man had his first Barça goal.
But he was to have an even greater influence on the scoreline. Early in the second half, he powered forward before sending a cross to the far post for Hamza Abdelkarim to make it 2-1. It was the Egyptian's third goal of the preseason, while Adeyemi ended the game with a goal and an assist, looking increasingly comfortable and settled in the Barça system.
Bisiwu double
Adeyemi played 79 minutes before making way for the star of the closing stages. Jesse Bisiwu scored twice in less than two minutes, the first of them a work of art. Dani Olmo threaded through the kind of pass that only he can produce, and the Belgian did the rest, cutting inside before unleashing an unstoppable strike into the top corner for his first Barça goal.
His second came after a superb individual move from Lamine Yamal, who put the ball on a plate for Bisiwu to score Barça's fifth and final goal in Basel. A day to remember for both Adeyemi and Bisiwu, who now know what it feels like to score for Barça.
