A draw at the Joie Stadium, as this second preseason match for Barça Femení away to Manchester City ended 2-2. Pere Romeu's side took a two-goal lead into half-time, but their English hosts managed to tie up the match by the final whistle. The blaugrana goalscorers were Caroline Graham and Vicky López, while Greenwood and Clinton scored for Manchester City.

Blaugranes take control

The game began with FC Barcelona in control, and in fact it took just five minutes for Caroline Graham Hansen to open the scoring in Manchester with a cross shot into the far post (0-1). The blaugrana number 10 actually had a second in her sights, but Manchester City keeper Yamashita parried it wide for a corner (min 11).

This dominance led to the second goal for Pere Romeu's side, this time scored by Vicky López after good work and a one-two with Caroline Graham (0-2, min 25). Before that new signing Van Asten had showed her quality in defence and had an attempt on goal. Half-time score 0-2.

Home side come back

A different start to the second half, as Paredes was called into action to clear a Hemp cross after 48 minutes. Just over 10 minutes later Greenwood halved the deficit, assisted by Shaw (1-2, min 59), shortly after Pere Romeu made a number of substitutions.

The equalising goal came in the 67th minute from Grace Clinton, who dribbled Charlotta before scoring past Gemma Font to make it 2-2. The game drew to an end with the English side more in control, and Hirons could have actually completed the comeback victory for the hosts, but her cross shot went wide. All square in England in the second preseason test for Pere Romeu's side.
