Back home once again. FC Barcelona were back to work today at the Ciutat Esportica after the preseason spell at St. George's Park ended. There was a new face today too, as world champion with Spain Gavi was back after the holidays for an individual session and with a new hairstyle to boot.

After two days' rest, the blaugranes were back in to continue preseason preparations. All available first team blaugranes trained, along with 17 players drawn from Barça Atlètic and the U19s, namely Tommy Marqués, Gistau, Shane Kluivert, Alex González, Xavi Espart, Toni Fernández, Jofre Torrents, Hamza Abdelkarim, Álvaro Cortés, Orian, Ebrima, Guille Fernández, Brian Fariñas, Jordi Pesquer, Áron Yaakobishvili, Iker Rodríguez and Diarra.

World Cup winner returns

Gavi was the big news today. Crowned world champion on 19 July in the United States of America, the La Masia player was back in training after his holiday. His first task at the Ciudad Deportiva involved an individual session to begin his preparations.

Jesse Bisiwu was also there, with the new blaugrana signing getting his first taste of training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after having joined the Club while the team were training in England.

More work this evening too, as a today is a double session with the triangular tournament on Saturday in Udine now the focus.
