Kick-off dates and times for first three Liga gameweeks confirmed

The road to the third consecutive LaLiga title for FC Barcelona is set to begin on Sunday 23 August against Elche at the Martínez Valero stadium (kick-off 9.30pm CEST). The match is part of the second gameweek set of fixtures and will be Barça's first game in the competition. Hansi Flick knows that at least one of his squad will have a chance of playing in the World Cup final, and with ten players in the semi-finals, LaLiga will begin a week later than for other teams, as is the case with other sides in the Primera División.

First home game on 27 August

The first match at the Spotify Camp Nou will be on 27 August against Athletic Club (kick-off 9.00pm CEST). This is actually the first gameweek fixture, but it will be the second match for Hansi Flick's side. The game is also set to take place just a few hours after the draw for the eight UEFA CL League Phase opponents that day.

Third gameweek fixture on 31 August

The month will come to an end for the blaugranes with their third competitive match in just eight days. Spotify Camp Nou is set to host the match against Rayo Vallecano on Monday 31 August (kick-off 9.30pm CEST). The sides actually also faced each other on 31 August 2025 in the third LaLiga gameweek fixture, although that match was played at the Vallecas stadium.
