The league champions are back to work as on Monday 13 July, first day of preseason for the 2026/27 season, the players underwent medicals ahead of their return to training. A total of 25 players were present for testing at the Ciutat Esportiva. 

25 on first day

The players who underwent medicals were 10 first team players -  Ter Stegen, Szczeseny, Balde, Christensen, Fermín, Casadó, Gerard Martín, Bernal, Héctor Fort and Roony, as well as 15 players from the Barça Atlètic and youth team squads: Aron Yaakobishvili, Jofre, Álvaro Cortés, Hafiz Gariba, Tommy Marqués, Orian Goren, Ebrima Tunkara, Ibrahim Diarra, Guillermo Fernández, Alex González, Shane Kluivert, Toni Fernández, Òscar Gistau, Xavi Espart and World Cup participant Hamza Abdelkarim. 

First training session on Tuesday 

After medical tests on Monday the squad will begin training on Tuesday at 9.30am CEST at the Ciutat Esportiva with Hansi Flick beginning his third season as Barça boss.
