Barça membership surpasses 150,000
Over the past two seasons, FC Barcelona membership has increased by over 18,000, rising from 133,164 members on 30 June 2024 to 151,787 on 30 June 2026. This substantial increase is testament to the positivity among the Club and its fans at present.
In accordance with the Statutes, a thorough census of FC Barcelona membership was conducted two years ago, running from March 2023 to June 2024. The aim was to obtain the electronic details of each member given the Club was updating and modernising, and to also aid the reorganisation of seating at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Younger fans getting involved
The younger segment of FC Barcelona fans has grown significantly, with the 18 to 30 year old bracket now making up 20% of members. The Club is encouraging younger fans to get involved by renewing and updating content channels and through the benefits programme.
In this sense, it is also worth noting that many children have joined the Club in recent seasons. In the 2025/26 season alone, 25% of new members were children aged under 15 years old.
Penya members top 100,000
The number of official FC Barcelona supporters' club members is also considerable. The Club conducted a process to recognise blaugrana penya members and they number over 100,000. As is to be expected, Catalonia has the most officially recognised penya members, with almost 31,000, and within Catalonia, the province of Barcelona comprises the highest share. Across the rest of Spain, the figure is close to 30,000, with Andalusia having the most officially recognised penya members with over 6,500 people.
Looking further afield, Europe remains the continent with the most notable numbers of officially recognised FC Barcelona fans. Countries like Poland have become established in recent years, joining the traditional blaugrana hubs of France, Belgium and Germany.
In other parts of the world, there has been significant growth in Asia, where China, South Korea and Japan lead the way for penya members. In Africa, Senegal and North African countries (Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt) have the most blaugrana penya members. While across the Atlantic, there is a growing presence in the United States of America, but there is also good representation in countries such as Panama, Nicaragua and Argentina.
