Fundraising Campaign to Respond to the Humanitarian Emergency in Venezuela
Following the powerful earthquakes last Wednesday, June 24, the humanitarian situation in Venezuela has worsened significantly. Thousands of people have been displaced or require urgent assistance, while rescue teams and international organizations are working to find survivors and provide shelter, food, clean water, and medical care.
FC Barcelona and its Foundation have launched this extraordinary fundraising campaign to respond to the humanitarian emergency affecting millions of people in Venezuela. As a demonstration of their commitment to protecting children and the most vulnerable families, the FC Barcelona Foundation will make an initial contribution of €100,000.
These resources will be used to strengthen the work of humanitarian organizations with which the Barça Foundation maintains ongoing partnerships and that operate on the ground, providing emergency assistance, child protection, access to clean water, food, healthcare, education, and support to displaced people.
In light of this situation, the FC Barcelona Foundation is calling on club members, supporters’ clubs, fans, companies, and the general public to join this solidarity initiative.
The funds raised will be channeled through well-established humanitarian organizations with proven operational capacity and presence on the ground, ensuring that contributions reach those who need them most.
Charity Round Up
To facilitate participation from the entire Barça community, from July 1 onwards, FC Barcelona has introduced a “round-up for solidarity” mechanism at various sales points within the Club’s facilities. Customers making purchases will have the option to make a voluntary contribution by rounding up the total amount. All funds collected will be fully allocated to support humanitarian actions led by the beneficiary organizations of the emergency campaign for Venezuela.
