Ona Batlle to depart from FC Barcelona
It had long been an open secret, but Ona Batlle will leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season. After saying goodbye to the culer fans on Wednesday in the match against Real Sociedad Femenino, the right-back will bring the curtain down on her second spell in blaugrana (the first with the senior team after coming through La Masia) capping off three seasons in which she won everything there was to win.
The full-back developed at La Masia returned to the club in the summer of 2023 from Manchester United. Across her three seasons in blaugrana colours, she became an automatic choice, first under Jonathan Giráldez and later under Pere Romeu. Consistent, intense and always a threat going forward, the defender played an important role in one of the greatest Barça sides in history.
12 trophies as a culer
Batlle brings her time as a culer to a close with a remarkable trophy haul: two Champions Leagues, three Liga titles, three Copas de la Reina, three Spanish Super Cups and one Copa Catalunya. With one final match still to play this season, she has made 114 appearances and scored 14 goals in the blaugrana shirt.
