The final game of the 2025/26 season for Barça may have ended in defeat at the Mestalla stadium, albeit without any consequences given the league was already won weeks ago, but there was a subplot about the trip to Valencia, as it was the last game in blaugrana for Robert Lewandowski.

Lewy's last goal for Barça

The Polish forward said goodbye in the best way he knows how – by scoring. It wasn't just any goal, of course, rather it was testament to an instinct that has made him one of the best strikers in world football. Always alert, always ready, even when it doesn't look like there is anything on.

It was the 60th minute and the score was still 0-0. Gavi floated a ball into the box that Pepelu headed away and it fell to Ferran Torres, whose first time volley looked like it was going wide. Most strikers would have passed up the chance to do something.

Leaves on 120 goals

Not Lewandowski, though. The Pole was quick to read the play and appeared in the perfect position to connect with the ball to divert it into the goal. That was goal number 120 in the Barça jersey. The last during his spell at the Club.

Days earlier, Lewandowski had already said goodbye at the Spotify Camp Nou during the home match against Betis. It was a very emotional day and although he couldn't get a goal in front of the blaugrana fans that day, he managed to score at the Mestalla stadium to bring his spell to an end on his own terms.

The forward received a final show of affection from the travelling blaugrana fans in Valencia. A large part of the home fans also acknowledged the career of a one-of-a-kind player. Lewandowski says goodbye to Barça after 120 goals and after entering the record books as one of the best forwards in the Club's history and in world football.
