Job done at the Palau Blaugrana with the Barça roller hockey team recording an 8-4 win over Rivas in the OK League. Nevertheless, the victory in the final game of the league season was not enough to claim top spot in the league with Liceo earning first place on goal difference.

Ricard Ares' team will now face Noia Freixenet in the first round of the league play-offs.

Job done

Barça were quickly on the front foot against the Galician side. After just four minutes Ferran Font had the blaugranes ahead with an excellent solo goal. A minute later Marc Grau added a second to make it 2-0 after a quick counter attack.

Immediately Rivas struck back with a goal Sergio Martín in a frenetic opening few minutes.

Opening the gap

Coming off the bench, Ortigosa made it 3-1 on 14 minutes to give Barça a lead that would take them into the second half. After the break Marc Grau slotted home his second of the game before Del Ríño scored to keep Rivas in the game at 4-2.

Ferran Font restored Barça's three goal lead with a free kick and Alabart's free kick made it 6-2 to the home side. Two goals from Pos gave Rivas hope at 6-4 but two strikes from Ferran Font sealed the win at 8-4 in the OK league.
