Danish cycling superstar Jonas Vingegaard paid a visit to the FC Barcelona facilities on Monday, a special day in which the two time Tour de France winner had the chance to get to know the Club a little bit better. The 29 year old cyclist took in various areas on his tour, seeing first hand how the refurbishment Spotify Camp Nou is progressing.

During his visit Vingegaard exchanged jerseys with fellow Dane and FC Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen, the top cyclist presenting a jersey from his Visma Lease A Bike team to Christensen, who in turn returned a blaugrana shirt to his compatriot. Furthermore, Vingegaard also made a trip to the FC Barcelona Museum to learn a little more about Barça's history and successes, which have made it one of the most famous clubs in world sport.

Jonas Vingegaard is one of the stars of professional cycling. On Sunday in Barcelona he claimed overall victory in the 2026 Volta a Catalunya stage race, that win coming off the back of his victory in the Paris-Nice stage race earlier in March.

In 2025 the Dane won the Vuelta a España three week race, adding to his collection of two Tour de France wins in 2022 and 2023, a race in which he has also finished runner-up on no less than three occasions behind his great rival Tadej Pogačar. Vingegaard will be hoping to return to Barcelona in the summer as this year's edition of the Tour de France begins in the Catalan capital on 7 July, with the first three stages all taking place in Catalonia before moving on to France.
