FC Barcelona presents “Equality Creates Value,” a campaign that highlights the essential role of the women who help build the club every day
Marking International Women’s Day, FC Barcelona is launching the campaign “Equality Creates Value,” an initiative aimed at highlighting and recognising the essential role of the women who, across many areas, make the club’s day-to-day operations possible.
In recent years, Barça has built an institutional narrative around March 8 focused on promoting women’s sport, defending equality and advancing women’s leadership in sport. This year, the club is taking its commitment a step further: moving from discourse to personal action, from an institutional position to a shared emotion with the Barça community.
Equality driving the club
The campaign emphasises that equality is one of the cornerstones defining FC Barcelona’s identity. Not only as an institutional value, but as a reality built every day through the talent and commitment of many women within the club.
At Barça, equality is reflected in the leadership of female athletes, but also in the work of professionals across sporting, corporate, operational and social areas. These are women who form part of a system that enables the club to continue progressing and growing both as a sporting project and as a social force.
The campaign seeks to highlight this reality and show that equality is not an exception or a one-off gesture, but a structural value that drives the club’s growth and strengthens its identity.
“Club Women” at the heart of the campaign
The campaign’s main action is the dynamic “Club Women” video that showcases the role of several women working at FC Barcelona in different positions, with the participation of players from the men’s and women’s first football teams.
Through this video, the club is giving exposure to diverse profiles representing many of the professionals who contribute to the organisation’s daily operations. The piece highlights their work, commitment and leadership, underlining the value they bring to the organisation.
Barça community also has a voice
The campaign also includes a participatory activation through a photobooth, which will serve as a symbolic space for meeting and expression for the Barça community.
Located at different club-related venues and promoted on FC Barcelona’s social media channels between March 8 and 19, the space will invite people to share their reactions after watching the campaign video. Inside the photobooth, a camera will record the moment while participants can take photos with their own devices and share them on social media, helping to amplify the initiative’s message.
The dates and locations where the photobooth will be available are as follows:
- March 8: Rambla Barça (10am to 7pm)
- March 15: Rambla Barça (Build-up to FC Barcelona v Sevilla)
- March 18: Estadi Johan Cruyff (Build-up to Barça Femení v Badalona Women)
A gathering to share leadership
To close the campaign, on March 19 the club will organise an event for FC Barcelona members in the commercial room in the Central Offices.
The activity will combine a space for reflection and networking with a participatory workshop focused on leadership and the role of women within the club. Players from FC Barcelona Femení will be attending together with other prominent women from different sectors, and will be led by the well-known entrepreneur and communicator Yaiza Sanz.
Collective movement
With this initiative, FC Barcelona is reaffirming its commitment to equality and to building a more inclusive sporting community. The campaign also aims to connect emotionally with the global Barça community, including fans, families and different generations, through a shared message.
For the club, equality goes far beyond a message. It is a reality experienced every day, and the value that continues to drive Barça to grow, compete and move forward.
