Barça Atlètic were held to a draw by CD Alcoyano in the Estadi Johan Cruyff in the Segunda Federación clash. A Raúl González own goal early in the second half earned Juliano Belletti's team a point after Soler had put Alcoyano ahead in the opening period. The draw means Barça Atlètic stay in fifth place in the table in the league.

The clash did not get off to the best of starts for Barça Atlétic. After just a quarter of an hour Soler put Alcoyano ahead and the visitors looked comfortable defending as the blaugranes hunted for an equaliser. Juan Hernández went close with a free kick that whistled just wide not long after the half hour mark. Barça could not find their rhythm and they went into the break a goal down.

Blaugrana reaction

At the start of the second half Belletti's team finally had their reward as Delgado's effort was turned past his own keeper on 48 minutes to make it 1-1. The blaugranes took heart from the equaliser and chances came for Barça to take the lead. Alcoyano looked to hit Barça on the break but neither side was able to grab the all important winner as the minutes ticked by. In the end the teams had to settle for a point each, enough for Barça Atlètic to remain in contention for a play off place. The blaugranes are next in action on Wednesday 25 February when they take on Castellón B away from home in a rearranged fixture from earlier in the campaign.
