Barça Academy Pro New York and the TriState campus receive a clinic in Barcelona
Since 15 February, 95 boys and girls from the Barça Academy Pro New York and the TriState Summer campus (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) have been training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, with the activity set to end on 23 February. What's more, they have relatives with them who can make the most of the chance to learn all about Barça and everything on offer in Barcelona.
What they weren't expecting, though, was a surprise visit by men's first team winger Marcus Rashford and the Barça Women midfielder Sydney Schertenleib. The Englishman had photos taken with all the teams, signed jerseys and answered questions from the boys and girls, during which he emphasised his pride to wear the blaugrana jersey and how much he wants to win trophies with Barça.
The Swiss Barça Women player also had a chat and had photos taken with everyone. A particularly nice moment came when she had a photo taken with the 15 girls at the clinic at the Ciutat Esportiva. An unforgettable moment that will likely make Sydney Schertenleib a reference point to keep striving to improve day on day.
Week full of activities
The boys and girls from the Barça Academy Pro New York and the Club campus in the United States of America at the clinic will be training the entire week under guidance of Club coaches to continue to improve their technical skills. What's more, they will play in several matches against Catalan youth sides this weekend to see how they measure up. The experience goes beyond the pitch though, as both they and their relatives will visit the Barça Interactive Museum, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, a guided tour around the Gothic neighbourhood and take a trip to Montserrat.
