The Barça handball team overcame Irudel Bidsoa 37-31 to book their place in the Copa de España final on Sunday against Recoletas Atlético Valladolid.

Carlos Ortega's team started in energetic fashion with Luis Frade and Ian Barrufet providing the goals and Emil Nielsen making the saves in goal. At half time the blaugranes led 20-16 against the Basque side who were still very much in the contest at half time.

In the second half the blaugranes upped the tempo with Dani Fernández outstanding for Barça. For Bidasoa goals from Jevtic and Xavi Tuá kept them in the game but Barça's lead was never threatened and the 37-31 win gives them a chance to retain the title they won last season.
