Into the last four of the Copa del Rey and coach Hansi Flick is satisfied. It was no easy task at the Carlos Belmonte stadium against Albacete, but Barça came away with a 2-1 win to take them into the semi-finals. "Albacete played very well, but we need to finish our chances better," the German coach said in his post‑match press conference.

"We fought until the end, and it's good to see this attitude from the players. I'm proud. In these type of  matches you simply have to win, and we did. We're in the semi-finals, so we're happy," Flick summed up. The coach was also delighted for Ronald Araujo, who scored Barça's second goal of the game "He needs to go step by step. He scored an important goal that will help him gain confidence. He finished the match happy, but tired."

Laporta: "We fully deserve to be semi-finalists"

After the match against Albacete, and in comments to Catalan television channel TV3, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta also reacted the Copa del Rey quarter-final victory: "We controlled the match quite well, but Albacete honoured the competition. They made things difficult for us. But we are deserved winners and we are a semi-final team. Albacete were great opponents and I hope things go very well for them in the league," said the president.

"Lamine Yamal is a genius, he opened the scoring. But I'm especially happy for Ronald Araujo. He scored, he started the match, and although he was exhausted at the end, we are very satisfied with our captain's return. He scored a goal that gave us a bit more calm," concluded Laporta.
