Two new landmarks for Lewandowski in the Champions League
Age is just a number they say and Robert Lewandowski is living proof of that. On Wednesday in the Champions League the Polish striker added another goal to his UEFA Champions League collection in the 4-2 win away at Slavia Prague, marking two more landmarks in his long and successful career.
Sixth oldest
The Barça number 6 became the sixth oldest player to score in the Champions League at the age of 37 years and 153 days. The strike was his 106th in the competition and only Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored more in the Champions League.
Lewandowski overtakes Cristiano Ronaldo
The goal against the Czech side now means that Lewandowski has scored against 39 different teams in the Champions League, moving past Cristiano Ronaldo's total of 38. Leo Messi lies ahead of the blaugrana striker after having scored against 40 teams in the competition. Against Copenhagen Lewandowski will have the chance to equal the Barça legend's total.
