Calafell La Menorquina 4-1 Barça: Painful setback
Nothing went right for Barça, who lost 4–1 away to Calafell at the Joan Ortoll in a match that turned against them very early on. The defeat sees the blaugrana drop from joint leaders to third place in the OK Liga, having failed to take points on a rink where no visiting team has won this season.
Despite an intense start and early chances, the hosts struck first on the counter, with Jero García finishing at the far post to make it 1–0. Barça tried to respond and enjoyed a two-minute power play after a blue card, but could not find a way through.
Early setback
The pattern continued, and misfortune compounded the problem before the break when Xavi Barroso deflected an innocuous effort into his own net, a heavy blow just before half-time.
After the restart, Barça struggled to create clear chances and eventually took risks to open the game up. That backfired when a penalty was conceded, converted by Aleix Marimon to make it 3–0 , effectively settling the contest.
Second league defeat
Even from the direct free hit after Calafell’s tenth foul, Alabart could not reduce the deficit. A fourth goal from Biel Pujadas followed before Marc Grau scored a late consolation from the spot, leaving Barça with their second league defeat of the season.
