Joan Garcia is one of the standout names at the moment at FC Barcelona. His excellent form has attracted a lot of attention, but the Barça goalkeeper remains grounded and is already focusing on the upcoming challenges. The most immediate one is the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Athletic Club, which takes place in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah on Wednesday, kick off at 8pm CET.

Despite his recent brilliant performances, Joan Garcia wants to keep getting better. "I still have a lot of room for improvement and I need to keep working. I’m very happy with how things are going, but I can get even better," said the Barça goalkeeper in the pre-game press conference on Tuesday ahead of the game against the Basque club.

On a collective level, the goalkeeper acknowledged that the team still has areas to work on but praised the defensive performance. "We have things to improve, but we’re winning games and keeping clean sheets. We’re really looking forward to the Super Cup starting," he added.

Regarding his team's semi-final opponents, Joan Garcia expects a tough game. "We expect a very intense Athletic, with clear ideas. They play with a lot of intensity and rhythm. We have to be ready for that. I think we’re preparing well for the match and we have a clear game plan," he explained.

Finally, the Barça player also highlighted the atmosphere among the goalkeepers at the club. "The relationship is very good. We are three very good goalkeepers. I try to learn from them and see where I can improve. The competition in training makes us all better. I’m very happy with the atmosphere and the competitiveness we have," he concluded.
