In their last game of 2025, Barça were looking for a win to take top spot in the league but they had to make do with a 2-2 draw away at leaders ElPozo Murcia which put an end to a run of six successive victories.

Early respect

The two best teams in the league came face to face over the festive period and it was ElPozo who went ahead in the 11th minute when Dener diverted a ball past keeper Dídac. Things could have been much worse for Barça but Dídac pulled off two penalty saves before Martel levelled things up for the blaugranes on 16 minutes. However, before the break, ElPozo were back in front when Marcel made it 2-1.

In the second half Barça came back into the game with Pito striking the post. Then, on 25 minutes, goalkeeper Dídac strode forward unopposed with the ball to then lash a shot past his opposite number Edu Sousa to make it 2-2 on 25 minutes.

Draw to round off the year

There was plenty of time left for both sides to find a winner but there was no way through for either side. Barça keeper rounded off an impressive display with a handful of excellent stops in the final minutes of the contest. Adolfo, Martel and Pito had chances to win it for the visitors but in the end the blaugranes had to be happy with a point which keeps them in second place in the table, three points behind ElPozo.
