Ter Stegen back after 212 days with clean sheet
A return to the FC Barcelona goal for Ter Stegen, as he started the Copa del Rey match against Guadalajara and helped his side through to the next round of the knockout competition, with Hansi Flick's side winning 0-2.
The FC Barcelona number one was last in goal 212 days ago in the final match of the previous LaLiga season against Villarreal on Montjuïc. This time he featured in Castilla-La Mancha at the Pedro Escartín stadium. The German stopper was captain on the night and left with a clean sheet, which included three good saves. The second was particularly good, as he repelled a powerful long shot by Salifo not long after Christensen had made it 0-1.
As such, the German seems to have put his lower back troubles behind him after the operation in July. Now in his twelfth season at the Club, Ter Stegen has made his first appearance of the 2025/26 season, taking his total to 423.
