A good point in London. Barça U19 came away with a valuable draw from their visit to Chelsea's training ground in Surrey after a second-half strike from Adri Guerrero put the young blaugranes ahead, but Chelsea (second in the competition before the match began) managed to rescue a point in the closing stages.

Barça U19 now face a final group-stage match against Eintracht Frankfurt to determine their finishing position in the League Phase and what awaits them next in the competition.

Few chances in the first half

Barça took to the pitch intent on controlling the game. They kept possession and dictated the tempo, but without much penetration. Chelsea were also well organised and carved out the first warning, a move down the right from Antwi that Eder Aller dealt with comfortably. Minutes later, Kluivert reached the byline, but his effort found no one waiting to finish. A pity.

The blaugranes were comfortable but not particularly threatening. In the 36th minute, Guille Fernández produced Barça’s first shot on target. Chelsea, for their part, also created very little. Half-time arrived with a 0–0: high intensity, few opportunities.

Barça strike first

After the break, Barça raised their level even further and became the clear dominant side. Pedro Villar first went close with a shot that skimmed the top corner, and moments later Adri Guerrero headed home after a superb piece of play and assist from Guille Fernández. A well-deserved lead for Barça in the cold London air.

Chelsea respond

The home side, however, managed to reply 15 minutes later. In the 76th minute, Walsh got in behind the Barça defence and delivered a cross that substitute Rampaj turned in from deep. Even though two points slipped away, Barça can leave London with their heads held high.
