A great win for Barça Legends in El Salvador, as the blaugranes ran out 2-0 winners against Real Madrid Leyendas at the Jorge 'El Mágico' González stadium in San Salvador. Albert Ferrer's side dominated from the match from the off. Javier Saviola scored both goals, while El Salvadorian 'El Mágico' González donned the blaugrana jersey for the match.

There was a minute's silence in memory of Jaime 'La Chelona' Rodríguez before kick off. The blaugranes then took control right away and Nolito and Giuly both had early cross shots that went wide. However, the first goal wasn't long in coming as Argentinian Javier Saviola collected an excellent threaded pass from Marc Crosas to beat Casillas one-on-one (1-0, min 19). Barça were dominating as Jorge 'El Mágico' González also came off the bench to play his part.

Continued control

Despite the dominance, Real Madrid showed fight after the goal, Baptista having two unsuccessful attempts. Just before the break, Nolito could have scored the goal of the game after some superb team play, but Iker Casillas foiled him when one-on-one. Hafltime score 1-0.

More of the same after the break, as Albert Ferrer's side dominated. Montoya, Giuly, Saviola, Nolito and Roger Garcia all had attempts in the first 20 minutes of the second half, and a combination of bad luck and Kiko Casilla saves prevented the second goal, while Real Madrid only had a cross shot by Congo saved comfortably by Angoy to show for their efforts.

Saviola gets brace

Saviola, Nolito and Montoya were all making the difference and in the end "El Conejo" received a pass from the left from Nolito before scoring from the edge of the area to make it 2-0 (min 72). Núñez had a chance to halve the lead soon after but his shot hit the bar. No further goals as Barça Legends ran out dominant winners in El Salvador.
