"3-3 is not the best result, but Club Brugge played very, very well," explained Hansi Flick after the draw in Bruges. The German coach remained committed to his defensive plan despite conceding three goals: "We will continue to maintain our high defensive line and work on improving it," he added in the press room at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

"Last season, we wouldn’t have conceded that first goal. We don’t have the same confidence when playing the offside trap. We won’t change our way of defending," Flick stressed after FC Barcelona conceded three goals in Bruges. But with each question, the German stood firm in his philosophy and maintaining a defensive approach that worked last season: "In midfield, we didn’t press well, and it was difficult to defend against their players with pace. We need to analyse the draw and see where we can improve."

"We have to keep working. We are not at our best, but we must stay positive. We’ll be able to get back to our best level when we have the likes Raphinha, Pedri, and Joan Garcia back," insisted the coach, focused on sticking to his game plan. "We are Barça and we want to be intense with and without the ball," added Hansi Flick, who was critical but confident in his ideas and pleased with the team’s reaction after conceding.

Flick is already looking ahead: "We have the opportunity to do better against Celta."
