A Champions League night and a special night, especially for two players who wore the FC Barcelona jersey for the first time in Europe. Both Dro Fernández and Roony Bardghji got their first minutes under their belts in European competition for the club, but they also played an important role in the win against Olympiacos (6-1).

Dro made his Champions League debut as a starter and provided the assist for Fermín to score his second goal (2-0, min 38) that extended the blaugranes' lead before halftime.

That made him the second youngest player to ever provide an assist in the Champions League, aged 17 years and 282 days old. Only Giovanni Reyna did so at a younger age while with Borussia Dortmund (17 years and 97 days old).

Roony came on in the 75th minute for Lamine Yamal. The Swede had already played in the Champions League with Copenhagen (six games and one goal), but this was his first with Barça and it was his flip-flap that befuddled the defender so he could put the ball in for Fermín to score the fourth goal for the blaugranes (min 76).

50 games for Casadó

Another fact from the game against Olympiacos is that Marc Casadó played his 50th game for the Barça first team. He played the full 90 minutes and had an important role in the 6-1 win.

Casadó's debut came on 1 November 2022 in a Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen. He has played 31 games in LaLiga, 16 in the Champions League, 1 in the Copa del Rey and 2 in the Super Cup since then. The last campaign and the first with Hansi Flick at the helm was the Catalan's breakout season, when he played 34 games (23 in LaLiga, 10in the Champions League and 1 in the Copa del Rey).
