FC Barcelona has received the first occupancy license granted by the Barcelona City Council. This authorization corresponds to Phase 1A, which includes the Main Stand (Tribuna) and South Goal (Gol Sud), with a capacity for 25,991 fans, including 81 spaces for people with reduced mobility.

The improvements included in this phase are significant:

  • New players’ tunnel.
  • New dressing rooms for the first team and the visiting team.
  • Enhancements in comfort and safety, with more access points, evacuation routes, and railings.
  • Access systems with integrated gates and ticketing, compatible with event days and construction traffic.
  • New sprinkler and automatic fire-extinguishing system.

The Club continues to work on obtaining the first occupancy license for Phase 1B, corresponding to the Lateral Stand, with the goal of increasing the capacity to 45,401 spectators.

This objective is based on three main reasons:

  • To uphold the decision not to return to the new Spotify Camp Nou until both Phase 1A (Main Stand and South Goal) and Phase 1B (Lateral Stand) are fully approved.
  • To ensure a complete and safe validation process before the full reopening of the stadium.
  • To allow sufficient time to carry out all necessary operational tests before the inauguration of Phase 1B and to optimize the use of the available capacity.

FC Barcelona would like to thank its members and fans for their understanding and support throughout such a complex and exciting process as the return to the new Spotify Camp Nou.
