The best possible start to a three game week for Barça, as they comfortably came through 71-92 against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Belgrade. Willy Hernangómez was the MVP with 19 points and a PIR of 27.

Blaugranes shine in attack

Barça started very professionally in their hunt for a third EuroLeague win in four. They took an early lead (0-8, min 2) and never looked back. Strong in defence and accurate in attack, they were 18-31 up after the first quarter, which featured a EuroLeague debut for Sayon Keita.

They clearly wanted more and where the visitors were in the groove, Maccabi were failing in attack. Barça made the most of the situation to go +20 after 17 minutes, extending the lead to 29 during a spell of 16 points without reply. Halftime 32-60.

Win confirmed

Clyburn scored straight after the restart and the lead was +30 (min 21). More than enough of a lead to ensure the win, even more so when the blaugranes controlled both the clock and the scoring (33-62, min 30).

Maccabi did end up improving and cut into the lead in the final quarter, but Barça managed their position well, ending up with a resounding 71-92 victory.

No time to rest though, as they have two more away games, Dubai on Thursday and Unicaja on Sunday.
