Joan Laporta attends 50th anniversary of PB Josep Raich
On Friday, 3 October, the Penya Barcelonista Josep Raich in Molins de Rei celebrated its 50th anniversary with a dinner attended by FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta. Also present were Josep Ignasi Macià, board member responsible for the Social Area, Enric Masip from the Presidential Office, and Penya Barcelonista Josep Raich, president of the FC Barcelona Players’ Association.
Earlier that afternoon, the Renaissance Museum in the town hosted the 8th Baix Llobregat Penyes Meeting, which featured a panel discussion titled Barça: Past and Present, moderated by journalist Joan Poquí and with contributions from Laia Coll, Lluís Carrasco and Pere Raich, son of Josep Raich. After a performance by the choir Les veus del dilluns, the event concluded with speeches from Laporta and Xavier Paz, the town’s mayor.
The activity then moved to the Samaranch restaurant to celebrate the penya’s half-century milestone. Speeches were given by Joan Arús, president of the PB Josep Raich; Jordi Murillo, delegate of the FC Barcelona Penyes Advisory Council for Baix Llobregat and Juan Manuel Asensi; with Xavier Paz and Joan Laporta closing the addresses. Before dinner, commemorative gifts were presented, and nearly one hundred guests enjoyed the evening, which ended with the cutting of the anniversary cake and a group photo.
